Awesome Easter

Awesome indeed!

My family, Bill, Shantel, and I were invited to the Easter Day baptism of two of the most precious, beautiful, twin girls I have ever known. Our dear, dear, friends, who are now considered part of our family…Megs and Audrey, invited my family to attend the Easter Service baptism of their two beautiful, twin granddaughters, Kaley Marie and Lily Kathleen.

We arrived at the church an hour before the service and had a continental breakfast with the twins and their family.

You might remember, from one of my previous posts back in November, when I was welcomed into their home to provide daycare for Kaley and Lily in an emergency situation…What can I say other than both Kaley and Lily captured my heart that day.

Fast forward to this Easter Sunday morning, and what an AWESOME EASTER it was for us to witness Megs father, who is a minister, baptize his great-granddaughters, Kaley and Lily in a beautiful Easter Service at The Episcopal Church Of The Nativity in Scottsdale Arizona.. This beautiful flower adorned cross stood at the side of the altar.

I can only imagine how much pride Megs and Audrey felt as they watched their precious Kaley and Lily being baptized into the Christian community on Easter Sunday. It was one of the most moving and beautiful baptisms I’ve ever attended. Thanks Megs and Audrey for including my family in this special family event.

After the baptisms, Bill, Shantel and I went to Joe’s Crab Shack in Tempe for a delightful Easter lunch. None of us had ever tried crawfish so we ordered some as an appetizer and all of us including our very picky eater daughter, Shantel, ate them…

We ate them but decided they were just OK but not something we would order again:)

On the main reason we were there…is this a HAPPY face or what? I’m not sure what Bill ordered, but there was some of everything in his pot..

Shantel was a happy camper too with her monster size crab legs complete with corn on the cob and boiled new potatoes…she got the hang of cracking open her crab legs right away and as she is a first timer eating crab legs…she said she understood why they provide a bib:)

I didn’t do so bad myself…I ordered the Cajun which was good and spicy just the way I like it and came with smokey sausage, corn on the cob and boiled new potatoes…YUMMERS!

After all that food…when we got home, Shantel still managed to find room for some of the candy the Easter Bunny brought her. My goodness that girl can eat!

We truly had an AWESOME EASTER…I hope all of you did too!

Stay Tuned!
