Carmen’s Sunsets

No doubt about it…Arizona has some of the most spectacular sunsets in the country. Even our furry girl, Carmen, loves to watch the sunsets from the comfort of our living room.

Every evening, just after dinner, Carmen sits patiently at the living room door looking out at the sky.

It’s as if she knows something spectacular is about to happen and she doesn’t want to miss it. And it is… the Arizona sun is about to set, and what a blessing and treat it is to watch…  Is it because she is in the “golden” years of her own life that she appreciates the beauty of it all and takes the time every evening to witness it…? I don’t know… All I know is Carmen takes her front row seat in front of the door every evening, and won’t move from that spot until the sun has completely set in the western sky.

One of the things I love most about our home, here in Chandler, is the fact that I too have a front row seat to watch the beautiful Arizona sunsets right from the comfort of my rocking chair. I love how the setting sun begins to cast its golden glow over our living room tile, then slowly, everything in the room takes on a honey color hue…

It truly is a spectacular, golden, moment. Well worth stopping whatever you are doing to experience this beautiful sight each and every evening without fail… No matter what kind of day I’ve had…, watching an Arizona sunset has a calming effect that reaches right down to my very soul, restoring peace, and puts all things in perspective… Even our cat Carmen knows it is WELL worth the wait…!

I can’t imagine anyone taking a sight like that for granted… I hope you are taking the time to enjoy all the beauty around you each and everyday no matter where you are… 🙂

Stay Tuned!

Thanks frissy! Don’t have a clue what I did to get the picture to turn out “mysterious” You know I just take my little Panasonic Lumix camera (that is set on “simple mode” most likely for simple minded people like me),and point, shoot, and hope for the best!! Glad you liked it. XoXo
